I am 4'9 and have experienced a significant weight gain. I, too, am working on losing weight. Here are a few pointers that I found help me:1) Ease off of the alcohol. Your body will surpress the burning of fat for energy. See: http://www.thefactsaboutfitness.com/rese...2) Understand what's healthy for you. Talking to a doctor/nutritionist is the best, but if you can't, these help along the way: http://www.nutritiondata.com/tools/calor... Establish the amount of calories that you need and your BMI as a jumping off point.3) Learn your eating habits. Keep a food journal. Write down everything that you eat. I know, it's super tedious, but it helps you to see what you can improve on and where you may be able to cut things out. There are even alot of free online journals - http://www.fitday.com/4) And last but certainly not the least, using that old high school P.E. adage - you should not consume more than the energy you can expend. It's important to get the exercise in. In addition to the small changes (like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, walking a dog, etc), you need to make sure to get in a heart pumping workout for atleast 30 mins on atleast 3 days a week.Having people to support you is also key so grab a buddy or go to the park with your boyfriend. It definitely takes discipline, and if you can handle it, you should begin to see improvements. BEST OF LUCK
from experience cut the beer and start the hard alc. again..
dont know but im with ya hun. i gained 15 lbs this year too. im giving up soda (so hard for me since i LOVE it) and trying to eat healthier. ive lost a few lbs and ive only been doing it a week. good luck!
Just walk, run, or cycle hard for 30 minutes a day, and eat healthy. Watch that beer belly, though.
Hi,Well, I would suggest STOP DRINKING! I hear it is very high in calories. Besides, it is not good for your health.Being overweight is very discouraging and depressing. Hope you find a solution. k
Well i just lost 20 pounds by eating less. And eating a healthy ceral in the morning and sometiems for lunch and cutting back on my portion size for supper. For supper i just ate whatever. I also walk alot like 3 miles a night and dont eat before you go to bed. I also drank a lot fo water or 1 percent milk.
Cutting out soda woul dbe a very good idea. It has SOOOO much sugar, which just turns to fat.Just make sure you're getting some sort of physical activity every other day, or so, and as long as you TRY to eat well, you'll be fine. It's not a quick diet, but in the long run you'll be healthy.
The best way I have ever lost weight is going to the lake and staying active. In 2 days I lost 8 pounds. I would also try to think more ice cold water after a meal instead of beer all the time. The 1st reason is because it helps your digestive system work better and also stay active for 30 minutes just swimming or running around after you eat so the food gets worked off and doesn't just sit there. And maybe you wont drink as much beer. Plus going to the lake or ocean or river what ever is closest to you is much more fun then what these other people are telling you to do. But cutting down on food is still good. And Make sure that you keep eating. Hope it all works out. It did for me and I'm 13 so it should work for you. I decided to go to the lake every weekend. Please take my advise I can guarantee you it will work as long as you stick to some thing.
I'm 5'3" tall, weigh 115 and I drink beer. I never seem to gain a pound. Try to increase your activity, do some exercise, try putting more energy into household chores and avoid a sedentry lifestyle.
