I am going to try the Mayo Clinic diet. Has anyone had success?

The version I got is a bit of a mixture between the Adkins and Grapefruit diet. The Grapefruit is the catalyst of energy burning and you can eat all the meat you want at lunch and at dinner, but never any snacks in between. Supposedly, you do not get hungry in between because the diet is designed this way, and it is the same diet given to bypass surgury patients who have to lose weight fast. Still, I am starting a new exercise regime as well, and I wonder about the hunger part between meals. Is this true?

this diet is just a silly way to trick you into eating fewer calories... and a dangerous way at that. please don't hurt yourself. balance your meals with carbs, protien and fat. you should eat every three hours (approximately... two to four in other words) and if you feel hungry (genuinly not just boredom or cravings because you put something off limits!) but you feel genuinly hungry, then you should make a smart choice, and eat something! better bad choices is how it's done. if you want ice cream, go for yogurt or fat free ice cream. it's at least a better bad choice! good luck, and again, please don't hurt yoursellf with this awful grapefruit and meat stuff!
